I am going to New York for Fall Break, so I thought I would search for something New York related for the topic of this blog.  I came across a photographer in New York who shoots portraits, and I really love her photos.

She really uses color in an interesting way.  It’s not always bright, but the color is usually one of the first things that catches your attention in many of her photos.  She often color coordinates the colors of the person’s clothes with the background.  The close ups directly on the subject’s face make for a very good photo, but she also usually does another photo zoomed out so it can be more of an environmental portrait and tell a bit about the subject.  I also like the few photos where the women are wearing old style dresses.
